MY STORY - AN IMMERSIVE ART EXPEREINCE
Imagine a company caught in the grips of a pandemic-induced workforce upheaval. They were grappling with how to bring their hybrid workforce together in a meaningful way, and employee engagement was at an all-time low. That’s where we came in. Our mission was to design a one-of-a-kind event that would not only bridge the physical divide but also deepen connections between colleagues beyond the confines of the office. Together, we crafted a creative and compelling experience that sparked curiosity, sparked conversations, and left everyone feeling more connected than ever before.
THE IDEA
In today’s hybrid work environment, the human connection we once took for granted is slipping away, leaving many stories untold and unheard. Despite the many benefits of remote work, the lack of daily in-person interactions can make it challenging to maintain a deep connection with colleagues. But here’s the thing: every person has a unique story to tell, and these stories are what make us human. That’s why it’s more crucial than ever to find new ways to connect and share experiences, to foster empathy and understanding, and to build a more resilient and supportive workplace culture.
YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR JOB TITLE
We created a safe and welcoming space where participants were encouraged to share their authentic selves, not just their work personas. Through the powerful medium of visual storytelling, each person had the opportunity to express their past, present, and future aspirations in a creative and personal way. The result was nothing short of extraordinary: participants discovered that they were all multi-faceted individuals with unique experiences and narratives that shaped their identities. By recognizing and celebrating these differences, they built a deeper sense of empathy, respect, and camaraderie that transcended the boundaries of their workplace.
BUILDING CONNECTION
Participants were able to explore and embrace their unique qualities, celebrating the diversity and individuality of each person. As a result, a culture of connection was established among the participants, strengthening their relationships and building a sense of community. THE WORKSHOP
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to uncover and create a unique personal story, expressed through the medium of painting and drawing. Guided by a set of themes, participants were able to choose the one that resonated with them the most and brought their own interpretation to the task. The workshop also encouraged participants to explore self-expression independently, fostering a sense of creativity and individuality. By engaging in this process, participants were able to tap into their innermost thoughts and emotions, resulting in a powerful and personal expression of their story.
THE THEMES
My Portrait
Participants painted a self-portrait that expressed who they were. There were no rules, and the idea was about producing a painting that showcased their “out of work”self.
My World
Participants got to paint something close to their hearts quite a few chose pets, loved ones or their favorite hobby. whatever made them tick!
My Words
For those who did not feel comfortable picking up a paintbrush, they expressed their story through spoken word and poetry.
My Abstract
Abstract art was a fun and expressive way to showcase who they were. There were no rules, and it offered a free way to tell their story through the vibrance of color and shape.Â
My Everything
For those who did not want to be confined to a particular theme combined all of the above and created an eclectic masterpiece that showcased different elements of their personalities.
THE OUTCOME
