The Peacock is a highly spiritual animal and is significant across many faiths worldwide. However, in the Bible the bird represents the Resurrection; this comes from the fact that after the Peacock molts, its feathers grow back to surpass their original grandeur. This piece was painted to symbolize the power of restarting. Often when life knocks us down and causes us to lose our feathers, we must keep our faith and know that after the season of hardship, we will come back stronger than ever.
