About Your Teacher
Hey, I’m Karen Caldwell, a self-taught artist from London. Born in the UK to Caribbean parents, I spent my years between London and Barbados before eventually making my way to Minneapolis. Life’s been a wild ride between the bustling streets of London, the sandy shores of Barbados, and now the Minnesota Winters. Art holds a special place in my heart, and I see it as my fairy godmother. Thanks to art, I found love, got married, made a big move across the Atlantic, and had the opportunity to showcase my work in various galleries and exhibitions across London, the Caribbean, and North America! Given how much art changed my life. I’m on a mission to sprinkle the magic of self-expression everywhere as I truly believe in the transformative power of art.
