Behind the Doors of Studio 265: A Slice of London in Minneapolis
The Tea Corner: The Ritual of the Cuppa
In Britain, the kettle is everything.
It’s where conversations begin, where pauses are honoured, and where people naturally gather.
The Tea Corner is the first stop in Studio 265. This is where you’re welcomed, where the pace shifts, and where the outside world starts to fade. A proper cuppa isn’t about ceremony — it’s about comfort and connection. It signals that you’ve arrived somewhere intentional.
You don’t rush in Studio 265.
You settle in.
The Parlor Gallery: Where Paint. Sip. Solve.™ Comes to Life
At the centre of the studio is the Parlor Gallery — the heart of Studio 265 and the home of Paint. Sip. Solve.™
Here, guests gather beneath original artwork, around lace-draped tables, and step fully into an experience that blends creativity, atmosphere, and story.
This isn’t a class you follow.
It’s a world you enter.
Immersive Story Worlds
Each session places you inside a carefully constructed narrative — from classic British whodunnits to mysteries rooted in Minneapolis history. The room itself becomes part of the storytelling.
Clues in Plain Sight
As you sip and observe, the mystery unfolds in layers. Nothing is rushed. Details matter. Conversations matter. The experience rewards curiosity.
The Canvas as Evidence
This is the twist. Your painting isn’t just something you take home — it’s part of the puzzle. Shapes, symbols, and choices made on the canvas unlock information you need to solve the mystery.
You’re not watching the story unfold.
You’re actively inside it.
Paint. Sip. Solve.™ isn’t about getting it “right.”
It’s about noticing, collaborating, trusting your instincts — and seeing what happens when creativity becomes the key.
The Back Nook: A Lived-In Studio, Layered With Heritage
Tucked deeper into the studio is the Back Nook — the engine room where ideas are built and mysteries take shape.
This space reflects how Studio 265 is lived in, not styled. Much like homes in London, every inch is used, layered, and repurposed over time. Here, British sensibility meets Caribbean heritage — a blend reflected in the textures, the lace, the doilies, and the sense of history carried through the room.
A Space Shaped by Memory
Watching over it all is the portrait affectionately known as “Tina.”
For many who grew up in British-Caribbean households in the 80s and 90s, she’s instantly familiar. She appeared in home after home — in living rooms, hallways, and dining spaces — a quiet, unquestioned presence. No one ever explained where she came from or why she was there. She simply was.
In Studio 265, Tina holds that same role. She doesn’t decorate the space — she anchors it. Her presence carries memory and recognition, a reminder that this studio is shaped by lived experience and cultural inheritance, not trend.
A Story in Every Corner
Studio 265 is about detail.
It’s intimate, intentional, and built to be returned to.
This isn’t a one-off night out or a space you visit once and forget. It’s a place where rituals repeat, stories deepen, and familiarity grows with every visit.
Some guests come once.
Others start to recognize the rituals.
And a few… stay for what’s coming next.
For the 2026 season, the doors are open.
The kettle is on.
The mystery is waiting.
Studio 265 is ready.
